Chad: i read faster with the Sony ebook than i do with a paper based book. It is softer on the eyes than backlit readers and the bookmark feature expediates stopping and restarting. Only one page to focus on also facilitates speed reading and supports a booklight more efficiently. i have minimal need for downloading, therefore, loading books from my pc is more than sufficient access. This negates the need for the internet feature offered with Kindle. Also, having more than 30 or so books to scroll thru reduces the need for massive amounts of memory. If i needed more i would install it but not very practical at this point. My pc holds all the books i need. Only downside of the is the Ebook s/w provided by Sony. Folders would be nice to file books accordingly.
