James Sheets: I shopped for awhile before deciding on the BeBook. I chose it because of its ability to read multiple formats, and the corresponding option to purchase ebooks from any number of online sources, contrasted with several of its competitors that pretty much limit your purchases to their own proprietary stores. I have used my BeBook for several weeks, and am quite pleased with it (and when it comes to electronic gadgets I am HARD to please :-) ) My wife, is an avid reader and loves physical books and has always been adamantly against ereaders because she loves the "feel" of having the book in her hands. After using the BeBook, however, she is now ready to "make the plunge" and I am about to order her one. A couple of other key factors - the price listed on this site is way off. If you go to BeBook's site you can get the Bebook for less than $300.00 US and that includes shipping! There is a new model about to be released that has a 5" screen, which makes the BeBook fit into a pocket quite easily. The BeBook 2 will be released this summer and will have the added option of having 3G and/or wifi support. Hope this helps!
